Conception and development of a scrollytelling page for ACAPS

This bachelor work entails the conception and development of a scrollytelling webpage to promote and highlight the findings of a humanitarian report for ACAPS.ACAPS, a non-profit and non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Geneva, provides independent analysis for the wider humanitarian sector. The organisation is in an expansion phase and wishes to explore new methods and formats with which to share their information.A scrollytelling experience was conceptualised through research and carefully selecting contents from the most recent Humanitarian Access Overview publication to form a cohesive story accompanied by visuals. The page was then developed from scratch using the framework Svelte and the D3 JavaScript library. User experience and long-term maintenance were key considerations for the project while also serving as an exploration into in house development and story driven content for the organisation.
