Analysis of the Opportunities and Obstacles for Managers in French speaking Switzerland in Terms of Intercultural Management in the Digital Age

The period we are living in, which is the COVID-19 pandemic, is boosting digitization within organizations all over the world. When teamwork is done virtually, intercultural management becomes even more complex and challenging as the digital collaboration involves different ways of communicating and working as a team.

In view of this context, a new Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) is being launched in order to help managers to face these new challenges with appropriate tools and approaches. The organization developing this training wants to make sure that the new CAS is properly addressing the needs of intercultural managers and professionals working in companies located in the French-speaking region of Switzerland.

The objective of this research is to determine to what extent this new CAS is addressing the needs of the public it aims at and to provide the organization with recommendations on how to strengthen the positioning of this new program.

The field research that was done in the framework of this Bachelor Thesis is focusing on the challenges encountered by intercultural managers and other professionals working in today's digitized world. A SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats) analysis is conducted integrating qualitative interviews and a quantitative online survey.
